Mr. Douglas J. Morgan, Jr.
Douglas J. “Doug” Morgan, Jr. served in the U.S. government as a federal law enforcement officer for 27 years. During his career he held special agent and leadership positions in several agencies to include U.S. Customs, Department of Homeland Security, and others with assignments focusing on drug control, intelligence, and criminal investigations. In 2014, he retired as Special Agent-in-Charge of Investigations at the National Science Foundation and now works as a government consultant in the intelligence community. As a student athlete at East Carolina University (ECU), Mr. Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree (’88) and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree and graduate certificate (‘2017). He has received ECU recognitions including the Outstanding Alumni Award and College of Human Ecology Top 100 Leadership Award and Wall of Fame induction. Mr. Morgan has served on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for over ten years and is the immediate past Chair of the Board. Mr. Morgan served on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for over ten years until his untimely passing in 2023.
